Bagmati Province to Promote Ecotourism in Four National Parks

Kathmandu, May 5: The Bagmati Province government is preparing to promote ecotourism in four national parks to support sustainable tourism development.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the province has identified Langtang National Park, Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park, Chitwan National Park and Parsa National Park for the initiative.

Ministry Secretary Dipendra Subedi said efforts are underway to develop these parks as key destinations for ecotourism. He noted that the parks are suitable for biodiversity conservation, wildlife observation, trekking and environmentally friendly tourism activities.

The ministry has already begun groundwork to promote tourism in all four park areas, aiming to strengthen sustainable tourism in the province.
