Kathmandu, May 13: Hamro Patro Remit has launched a new social initiative titled “Send Local, Support Local” aimed at supporting local communities and students in Nepal through its remittance services.
As the first activity under the campaign, the company distributed school bags, notebooks and pencils to students of Shree Bangba Adharbhut Vidhyalaya in Sindhupalchowk.
According to the company, the initiative is based on the idea that remittances can contribute not only to families but also to community development. A portion of the transaction fees collected through Hamro Patro Remit will be used to support underprivileged students in different parts of Nepal.
The school administration welcomed the support, stating that educational materials such as school bags and notebooks provide encouragement and motivation for students.
Hamro Patro Remit said the campaign reflects its commitment to staying connected with local communities and supporting meaningful social causes in Nepal. The company added that similar community-focused programmes will continue in the future.
Hamro Patro Remit is a remittance service operated under Hamro Patro, a popular Nepali digital platform. The service provides money transfer facilities for Nepalis living abroad to send money to Nepal.
