4G Service Launched at Pathivara Temple
Taplejung, May 6: A 4G mobile service has been launched at Pathivara Temple to improve communication for visitors.
The service was introduced with the initiative of the Pathivara Area Development Committee and support from Nepal Telecom. A BTS tower was installed as part of the project, following an agreement with the Telecommunication Office in Ilam three years ago.
Officials said the new service will benefit both pilgrims visiting the temple and residents of Phaktanglung Rural Municipality.
According to Committee Executive Director Prajin Hangbang, the system will also help make the management of monetary offerings (bheti) more transparent through online processes.
Located at an altitude of 3,794 metres, Pathivara Temple is one of eastern Nepal’s most important pilgrimage sites.
