Rs 4.5 Million Grant To Boost Homestay Tourism In Baglung
Baglung, April 24: The Sustainable Tourism Promotion Project has provided a grant of Rs 4.5 million to support the establishment and improvement of homestay facilities in Nisikhola Rural Municipality and Dhorpatan Municipality.
The funding has been allocated to 14 households, aimed at expanding the Pakhathar community homestay in Dhorpatan Municipality–9 and supporting the operation of the Budhathok Nakha community homestay across four households in Budhathokgaun, Nisikhola.
Project Chief Amar Thapa said the initiative is designed to promote youth entrepreneurship, empower women economically, and develop tourism-friendly homestays in a more systematic and sustainable manner.
Under the project’s broader plan, 20 households in Dhorpatan Municipality and 10 households in Nisikhola Rural Municipality are expected to be brought into operation as organized homestay units.
