Nepal Tourism Board Honoured with PATA Long Standing Membership Award
Kathmandu, May 12: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has received the PATA Long Standing Membership Award in recognition of its 60 years of association and contribution to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
The award was presented during the PATA Annual Summit 2026 held in Gyeongju and Pohang, Republic of Korea, on May 11. The honour was received on behalf of NTB by officiating director Rohini Khanal.
According to NTB, the recognition reflects the board’s long-standing engagement with PATA and its continued commitment to regional tourism cooperation, sustainable tourism development and global tourism promotion.
Nepal’s private tourism sector was also recognised during the ceremony. Yeti Travels was honoured for its 60 years of partnership with PATA, while tourism entrepreneur and PATA life member Suman Pandey also received recognition for his contribution to the tourism industry.
The PATA Annual Summit 2026 has brought together tourism leaders, policymakers, industry experts and stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss the future of resilient and sustainable tourism.
